Secure Communication in the Internet of Vehicles
Kolaja, David ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Malina, Lukáš (advisor)
Public roads can get dangerous if a police force is trying to stop a vehicle in which the driver is running away from hit-and-run situation. This fact increases the probability of causing more harm to the public. It is also why it should be made possible for police to safely and remotely stop the vehicle using modern technologies. This master thesis deals with possibilities of utilizing Internet of Vehicles (IoV) technologies, in which Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) play a big role. We can find description of C-ITS security architecture in the theoretical introduction. The task is to design a secure infrastructure and communication for applications which can remotely stop a vehicle. The security of such communication should be made using modern cryptography algorithms which ensure unauthorized access and usage of the application. Lastly, the security implementation is tested on an On-Board Unit on which the memory consumption and time delay is evaluated.
Experimental workplace for research of car speed limiters
Kubát, Michal ; Možný, Radek (referee) ; Pokorný, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of remote vehicle speed limitation. The aim of this work is to develop an experimental workplace where the speed limitation using connection to CAN bus will be tested. In the theoretical part, a research on existing solutions of speed limiters is conducted and their protocols and technologies are described. The theoretical part also includes a research and description of possible threats and attacks on technology ITS-G5. The practical part deals with the development of the experimental workplace that consists of an OBD-II simulator and a transmitter. The OBD-II simulator includes Arduino UNO and add-on modules, its communication is realised via CAN bus. Transmitter includes Arduino NANO. Then, a wireless communication between a transmitter and an OBD-II simulator on 433 MHz and the wireless speed adjustments are developed. Finally, the IVIM message is designed and implemented for car speed limitation. Its structure was selected according to ISO standards for communication in ITS-G5 technology. The implementation of this message was tested on an OBD-II simulator. On the whole, a complete experimental workplace was assembled, and its manual was created.

Cooperative And Connected Mobility Filed Testing Environment
Mecerod, Václav
Cooperative Intelligent Transportation System (C-ITS) and its services are paving the way to safer future on the roads and higher levels of autonomous mobility. Not only the technology availability, but also legal acts of European Commission are enabling research, development and consequent deployment of such services. It increases the demand on hardware and software conformance testing with the current and future standards as well as service interoperability across member states of the European Union. In this paper, we present a complete cooperative and connected mobility filed testing environment. It simplifies otherwise difficult task demanding sophisticated preparation, vehicle integration, field test management, data gathering and processing.
Emulation Of Infrastructure Unit For Inteligent Transport Systém
Giertl, Juraj
This article describes a characteristics of Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) and development of an application used to emulate Road Side Unit (RSU) for proof of concept and testing purposes. Application enables users to easily define common messages used in C-ITS such as intersection geometry and it’s traffic lights signals and phases.
